CODE OF ETHICS

We, the members of ANETI (Spanish Association of Translation and Interpreting Companies), are aware that ethical and professional conduct on our part —both among ourselves, the members, and between us and the Association, as well as with all our clients and collaborators— will be to the benefit of our professional and business activity, and we therefore agree to abide by this Code of Ethics, undertaking to adhere to the following principles:
  1. To be precise and honest when accepting work, both with regard to workload capacity and to the possibility of offering excellent quality, bearing in mind that a lack of responsibility in these respects will jeopardise not only us but also our professional image, and will consequently be detrimental to ANETI's reputation.

  2. To be honest in our dealings with clients and collaborators.

  1. To avoid, as far as possible, any conflict of interest that might be detrimental to ANETI's reputation and, consequently, to that of its members.
  2. To be honest and realistic when making complaints that can easily be remedied through dialogue.
  3. To have a good knowledge of translation technology, in order to improve our production capacity and provide a better service for our clients, thus benefiting our professional image.
  4. To inform ANETI and its members immediately regarding any problem likely to affect others (for example, computer viruses).
  5. To ensure open, appropriate communication with ANETI and its members.
  6. To guarantee that the translating work carried out in each ANETI member company is done by qualified, experienced translators who only translate into their mother tongue.
  7. To help each other to effectively comply with this Code of Ethics.
